Here we are with another edition of the Saturday Bloggers Lunch. You can read the details at JohnChow.com, and you will also find more details at MatthewSchmoll.com, Stephenfung.net and the.[ed]ition by Ed Lau. I will fill you in on how we got there and how we enjoyed it. Myself, Gary Jones, and my Son Matthew were on our merry way to the Pho Lunch as is the custom on Saturdays, well to our surprise, the custom can be changed without notice. It was 12:40 and we were waiting outside Pho Lan when we decided to give John a call, at that point he let us know of the change in venue and it was only a few blocks away so we made the short trip following Jeff Kee of Jeff Kee Consulting who also met us there.
If you don’t know anything about Richmond, let me fill you in . . . going a few blocks in Richmond can be treacherous, life threatening and really quite funny if you think of how many of the idiots driving actually were given official drivers licences by our government agencies (I think it’s the secret to ICBC profit). 35 minutes later we were at Dim Sum fighting for a parking spot after following Jeff through some interesting back-roads to avoid the zoo on Number 3 Road in Richmond.
The Restaurant was not what we expected, we were expecting something a bit fancier from the outside, it was a small older looking building. We were quite surprised how many people it could hold and how loud it was. The food was quite good and there was a good variety.

I can now say that I have tried Chicken Feet, I won’t have them again, but there was nothing wrong with them except that they took way too long to pick a small amount of bland tasting skin off the bones. As you can tell from the picture, I am a big boy and don’t have that kind of time to go pickin skin off of tiny little bones. Give me MEAT in chunks please!

Of course someone had to take the group picture, so missing from the group shot is my son Matthew Schmoll
