Q: Where were you born?
A:
Surrey, BC

Q: What are some of the odd jobs you have done in your life?
A:
House Cleaning, Sales Associate at Warehouse One The Jean Store, Truck Detailer, Inventory, Customer Service and Waitress at The Dewdney Inn Pub, and of course babysitting. I also did work experience at the SPCA and Canadian Armed Services.

Q: What level of education did you attain? What made you decide to go back to School and study Business?
A:
I graduated from high school (grade 12) and I decided to go back to school to better myself financially and mentally. My daughter Kaylee needs a good role model in her life and I want to prove that you can have a baby and still accomplish a lot in life.

Q: What was your first part time job?
A:
My first part time job where I actually got paid was at Warehouse One

Q: What was your first full time job?
A:
My first full time job which I still have is being a mom. I’ve never had a full time paid job.

Q: How did you choose your current Business Direction?
A:
There were a lot of things that made me choose to go towards Business.
CDI College gave me a lot of information and paperwork to look at, my dad with Thinkreferrals, and I thought it just suited me.

Q: Introduce us to your family.
A:
There is my precious baby girl Kaylee who will be 3 in June and my fiance Dan. I have 2 brothers Matt (15) and Franz (3), and 1 sister Skyy-Dawn (12).
There’s my dad, Rainer, and step-mom, Ellie. I have an Omi, Ruth, who lives in Chilliwack and an Opa, Franz, who lives in Kitimat. There’s also my mom, Silvia, who lives in Kitimat with her fiance Danny.

Q: What does your Significant Other do?
A:
Dan is a Roofer in Mission.

Q: What do you do for fun?
A:
In the summer I love to take Kaylee to the lakes and have fun in the sun.
Other times I’m taking Kaylee to the park or playing outside. When Kaylee’s not around I like to hang out with friends, go bowling, and watch movies.

Q: What are your favorite holiday getaways?
A:
I’ve only been 3 places besides the lower mainland, Kitimat, Montreal, and Seattle. I think that Kitimats probably my favorite only because I get to visit my mom, opa, Skyy, and Franz.

Q: Tell us a bit about your goals in business after you finish your program?
A:
My goals in business are really for me to be happy and not bored. I get bored easily and I’ve never liked any of my jobs. I’m very adaptable and not really picky when it comes to the work environment. I haven’t really thought about it too much.

Q: How can people get to know more about your business goals and find out how they can help you?
A:
The best way to know anything about me is to talk to me either in person or e-mail.

Q: When you first heard about your student membership in Thinkreferrals, what were you expecting?
A:
I already knew what I was going to expect in Thinkreferrals. I’ve been to so many breakfasts in the past few years because my dad has dragged me out bribing me with free food. Thanks dad! I’m really just expecting to talk to people in business to give me advice and answer my questions I might have.

Q: How has your membership within Thinkreferrals helped you to understand the benefits of Networking?
A:
Networking is important in the business world today and Thinkreferrals is just trying to make me understand that concept. Getting together every week with Business members is teaching me about reality. It’s not just what you learn in a book sitting in school for 5 hours, it’s learning about how to get your name out there and to show others you actually care for them and their needs. TRBN’s saying is the truth, “It’s not what you know or who you know, but who knows you.”

Q: What are some of your pet peeves?
A:
I have a list of pet peeves. I hate stinky diapers, an unorganized house, people who talk behind other’s backs, mornings, and when nothing goes my way. Those are only a few for right now. If I list them all you might think I’m nuts.

I would like to Thank Kristina for her time and I know she will be more than happy to answer any questions you have for her in the comments below.

I said “kinda” you know? You are DEFINITLY better looking but I can see the DNA (unfortunately). :-)

OK, I’m detecting a few nasty insults there.

On a serious note… I am very inspired by your commitment to being a positive role model for Kaylee. I would venture to say that you won’t only be a positive role model for her but for many other young adults and teens who are looking for inspiration, hope, and direction in their lives. And even if you listed ALL of your pet peeves -I wouldn’t think your nuts! We all have A LOT! Cheers, George.

If you are refering to my post about the DNA -yes. Think nasty. My last post though was quite sincere. All in good fun though.

That’s exactly what i’m trying to get out there. Not to have babies young and then prove something, but to rather overcome some obstacles and do something, and not just because you have to but because you want to.

I can relate to your wish to be a good role model for your daughter. It was that same desire that got me into university.I started university the same day that my oldest started Grade 1 and my youngest started Kindergarten.

Good for you.

Eliza

P.S. I understand that your bio needs updating. Congratulations on your wedding.
