What is considered “Tech Rude” in the 21st century?

Admit it: Most of us have sent or received text messages or answered our cell phones during business meetings. Some of us even felt that barrage of dirty looks when the cell phone suddenly belts out some Punk Rock Song at a classy restaurant or during a show. What do we really consider rude in the 21st Century? Has technology shifted our idea of what is acceptable in our every day lives?

Are you “Tech Courteous”?

According to a 2004 Sprint Survey, over 80% of the people surveyed consider other technology users rude, yet 97% consider themselves Tech Courteous. There seems to be a bit of confusion in that survey. It’s kind of like when everyone says that they don’t worry about driving in the snow, they worry about all the other idiots driving in the snow. No one wants to admit to their own shortcomings.
